Cosmetic Acupuncture
What is Cosmetic Acupuncture?
Cosmetic Acupuncture is a recognized alternative or adjunct therapy to well-established medical beauty-enhancing procedures such as Botox, fillers, and surgery that improves blood circulation of facial muscles and skin. It has become a recognized and desired alternative or adjunct to well-established beauty-enhancing procedures such as Botox, fillers, and surgery.
How does Cosmetic Acupuncture work?
It stimulates the production of collagen that helps to improve elasticity, minimize fine lines and wrinkles
on the face and neck, and even out your complexion to promote your skin’s glow. While the focus is on facial acupuncture, each session also includes support for other issues like digestion, stress, and physical symptoms. Many of my clients love how relaxed they feel with these sessions!
How many sessions are recommended?
For best results, a series of 10 treatments twice a week over 5 weeks is recommended. After that, you can go into a maintenance stage, and get a touch up treatment every 4 to 6 weeks.
Are there any risks?
Cosmetic Acupuncture is a chemical-free, natural approach to anti-aging, without the side effects, risks and downtime of more invasive cosmetic procedures. Most patients do not experience any complications. However, a small amount of bleeding, bruising or puffiness may occasionally occur.
Who is a candidate for Cosmetic Acupuncture?
Most people looking for a natural, alternative approach to reducing the signs of aging and improve overall wellness are candidates for Cosmetic Acupuncture. Those who are not eligible for Cosmetic Acupuncture include pregnant women, those with hemophilia or contagious skin diseases, those with a severe deficiency, or those who have undergone other cosmetic procedures such as injections and surgical procedures in the past 2-6 weeks.
